Being anal and all, I booked us a nice, LONG layover in Chicago just in case things went awry in Colorado Springs, so we decide to lunch with Drewsy! Drewsy is my best friend from highschool and a real hoot to hang out with. She and her fiance also happen to work in the restaurant business so we got hooked up with a nice lunch and drinks for a VERY lucrative price!
We got downtown in Chicago on the train around noon, first stop some food since we were all starving. We headed to McCormick & Schmick for some fish and seafood. Drewsy's beau is a manager at the downtown location and it was quite nice - of course we all wandered in in our lovely airplane outfits - I had a nice shrimp pasta, Sandy catfish, Shan tilapia and Drewsy had the salmon caesar. Of course a couple beers/wines and a shot later and we headed for a quick drink to Drewsy's restaurant, Petterini (sp?), in the downtown theater district. Another wine and we were primed for the remainder of our trip to Paris!
