It was so fabulous to walk home in daylight from the gym tonight after work! It was about 7 p.m. by the time I left the YMCA where I work out, and it was still light outside. A miracle! It has been so dreary the past few months, between leaving the house for work in the morning dark, and walking home again in the dark at night. Dark and cold and snowy.
But there is light at the end of the winter tunnel! This little boost was just what I needed.
Mind you, I was bit cranky this morning, when the alarm went off at 7 a.m. and it was still quite dark. But, that's a small price to pay, really, for the joy of seeing light at the end of the work day!
Now if we could just get rid of all of this g-d snow......

7 a.m.? No wonder you were chipper. When our alarm went off at 5:45 I was not happy at all. I blame this on Stephen Harper as well.
I did enjoy the extra daylight this evening though.

You know, I just can't get into DST this year - it just feels too early plus, the time change is really messing me up in the morning. I feel groggy until almost noon. :(

Yeah, Kim, those dark mornings hurt!
Jerry, 5:45 would kill me. That's why I left Toronto -- all the traffic and commuting was just too much!
But really, the darkness IS all the federal Tories' fault.
