It is 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 and we are bracing for 6 to 10" of Snow! The heaviest snow will fall after midnight, making it difficult for our 7 - 3 staff to get to work. So, in a couple of hours I will be off to the Nursing Home where I will spend the night with a few of my colleagues. At 5:00 a.m. we will begin hearing from people who can't get to work and we will begin picking up Nursing Staff. This is NOT the way I planned to finish my weekend. I guess that it comes with "All other duties as assigned" Fortunately I like the people that I will be hanging out with tonight. Went to the store and bought us some Easter Candy to pick on tonight (tomorrow I will regret eating it).
Hope that everyone in the track of this storm on the east coast stays warm and safe!
BTW, Chi-Chi is doing fine and so am I now that my husband has taken full responsibility for her. I don't feel too badly for him. He is a teacher and will almost definitely have a snow day tomorrow. However, I am laying odds that Chi-Chi's Mom will not make it home from Fla. at noon tomorrow as planned due to the weather. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she makes it sometime tomorrow!

Sheri, sorry about the weather you are anticipating. But at least, by going to work tonight, you won't have to worry about traveling in the snow tomorrow.
It's great that your husband has taken over Chi Chi's care. What a guy!

Well it is 6:00 a.m. on 3/2 and we only have about 2 1/2 inches of snow. They are still saying we will get up to another 6 inches with the second round of snow, expected momentarily. I could have slept in my own bed last night!

You know what they say about being prepared tho - hope you can sleep in your own bed tonight, Quite a storm in your area - and how nice that your DH took over dog duty.

Have been home since 4:30 p.m. and will sleep in my own bed. It was not as bad as they predicted -only 5"and most everybody made it to work. It is frigid outside - DH &DS hoping for another snow day due to ice. Though I do not like sleeping on a mattress on the floor of my office, I am glad that I went in when I did!
Chi-Chi's mom made it home from Florida, so alls well that ends well.
Thanks to all for the sympathy - about work & Chi-Chi!

We only got about 3 inches or so but boy, is it cold! What a big storm - sounds like it got the whole East Coast. Hope Chi Chi's mom made it home!

I hope your replacements arrived and I really hope your neighbor made it home so you don't have to deal with Chi-Chi for another day.
