P.I.A.A. Boys Volleyball Season opened on 3/20/09. The Masterman Blue Dragons have captured the Public League Title for 4 of the last 6 years (losing in 04 &08). Both of my kids are athletes and both are passionate about Volleyball. Like his brother was in 06, Jordan is Captain of the Team this year and certainly hopes to end his high school career with a City Championship. Though it is way too early to predict the season, they are sure looking good. They are 2 - 0 so far, and they won an important suburban tournament over the weekend. They are a great group of young people who work really hard at being both good athletes and good students.( In Philadelphia, we tend to hear only negatives about our youth and our schools. While Masterman is truly a special place, there are outstanding students and athletes at mos schools). It is a special pleasure to wish this team much luck this season!

Woo-hoo, go Blues! I wish them a better season than the season my Blues(Michigan Wolverines) had in football.

Our sports (son and 2 daughters) were football and soccer, a smattering of track and field - I spent a lot of afternoons and Friday nights in the bleachers. Good luck to your team, and really enjoy these days - I rather miss them.
