The annual Flower Show is quite an event in Philadelphia. It is held downtown in the Pennsylvania Convention Center and people come from all over the tri-state area. It is a week long event and it gets really crowded. My friends and I decided to go at 9:00 a.m. today, the last day of the show. The crowds weren't bad, though it was mobbed by the time we left around noon.
I am new to Container Gardening, so I am not one of those people who have been going for years. The Theme this year was Bella Italia, so of course I had to go.We did not visit gardens in Italy, so I have no idea how authentic this is but it sure was beautiful. This is only my second time. The displays, representing various regions of Italy, were spectacular. People were taking notes and snapping pictures. I just enjoyed the show as I have no illusion that I will be trying to replicate the displays. I took some photos that I will share with you, but thy truly do not do justice to the spectacular displays.
Rome was the first area as you entered the convention center floor.
Next there was a Florence area
There were more beautiful flowers in an area marked Venice (it was too dark for me to a picture of the Gondola, behind a gate in this display)
Of Course there was a Tuscan Display
Best in Show went to Milan for their obviously High Fashion Store
perhaps you need a dress
Or some shoes
Or a Hat?
Or, maybe this dress is more your style?
There was lots more. It was hard to decide what to post. It was a nice way to spend the morning, but put me way behind with other chores/errands!

Oh my gosh, this looks incredible! Great photos. I've already got spring fever but looking at this adds to it. I'm ready for flowers!

Thanks Candi and Annie. It really was beautiful. It was really spring-like here over the weekend with temps near 70. Will be in the 40's the rest of the week!
