Here Lester and I are in San Diego, actually just across in Coronado, visiting with my mom and sister. Last time I was here I had a camera at the right time for a really gorgeous sunset.

Louisiana was like a sauna when I left, but it's cool and sunny on Coronado with lovely ocean breezes. Alas the beaches have black sea nettles invading. Still I get my long early morning walk up almost to the North Island fence for the Navy base. The Seals train partly by running up and down the same beach, stopping now and again for calesthenics. It's um, pretty entertaining to see that. But then I start thinking about the stupid war and how young they look and, well, so much for ogling Seals.
Working on some more video, up soon... Arles.

I love that shot - like the sky is on fire. There's an amazing donut place on Coronado - we discovered it on jet-lagged morning around 5:00. Can't remember the name though it was down near the Marriot.
