library for Addison

I need to start preparing for the new role of step-grandma (fancy that, I did none of the work yet I get to enjoy the progeny of Gary's progeny!). Part of my role as I am inventing it will be to provide Addison, for that will be her name, and she's arriving in 6 weeks or so, with a library. I've been making a mental list, but I'd love suggestions, so I'll start keeping the list here. Later I'll sort out at what age she gets what.

a really good Mother Goose, with the old illustrations
Peter Patter Book of Nursery Rhymes
Terry Jones Fairy Tales
The fairy tale book series, the one named for colors (red, green, blue, olive, and so on)
Complete Bros Grimm
Goodnight Moon
Dr. Seuss stuff: Green Eggs and Ham, Hop on Pop, Fox in Socks, One Fish Two Fish, The Cat in the Hat
Swimmy
Elephant Elephant ( got a copy of this at an art museum once, gave it away, and now I give everyone I know who is having a child a copy--but it's really for the parents)
Curious George books
Beatrix Potter collection
The Stinky Cheese Man
Max series by Maira Kalman
Go Dog Go
The Velveteen Rabbit
Winnie the Pooh
Where the Wild Things Are
Rosemary Wells' Max books, esp. Max's Breakfast
Madeline
Amelia Bedelia
Eloise
The Little House
Bread and Jam for Frances
Fortunately
Harold and the Purple Crayon
Roald Dahl books
Chronicles of Narnia
Charlotte's Web
Stuart Little
Aesop's Fables
Alice in Wonderland/Through the Lookingglass
The Wizard of Oz
Watership Down
Jungle Book and Just So Stories
The Story of Babar
What is He Up to Now?
Little Toot
Caps for Sale

to be continued...

I don't know where they got Addison. It's sweet. to me it's a street in Chicago, by Wrigley field.
