Trish--I have just recently begun reading your blog and am transfixed by your descriptions of your post-hurricane situation. Right now I'm sitting at home listening to TS Hanna lashing my windows (in MD), and that's nothing compared with your experience.
I'm really surprised to see that no one (I think) has offered comments on your blog during this period.
Hang in there. I'm watching Ike with more dread than usual because of your posts. I'll keep reading.

Trish, I have been reading your blogs since the beginning and I am so impressed with your desciptions of things.
I have been thinking of you during this hurricane ordeal and hope that things will get better soon for you and all of the folks who have been so hard hit by Gustav.
Keep writing. I feel as if I am sharing in your experience, but without the misery of bites, heat, no power, no gas and all the cleanup that is yet to come.
