The Hysteric Channel; good morning stupid Gustav

The Weather Channel drives me berserk.

Fool, go inside.

Morning now, still pretty dark. Wind and rain, but nothing too bad yet. The animals all know something is up--dogs sticking to us like burrs. The kitties were on the porch this morning so I hope they go under the house. They have been wandering much more since I went away.

Gary is moving the generator since he had it sitting in a place that is bound to collect a lot of water. We don't have the trailer we kept it on before because someone has borrowed it and not returned it. Meanwhile I am using the juice: decided to cool down the house below our normal 76 downstairs and 80 upstairs for a last sort of hurrah. Making cappucino, toast, doing laundry, got the computer on, etc. Lovely electricity, please stay here for awhile.

Stupid Gustav is about 5-6 hours from the coast. It looks like landfall will be west of NO far enough to make a difference. It is hard to tell where Gustav will make landfall precisely--combination of vague news coverage and the X factor--but I am guessing Lafayette will be a mess, and I would not want to be down around Vermilion Bay at present.

I have been totally not paying attention to Stupid Gustav's ugly sister Hannah. Hope our neighbors to the east stay safe.

We hope and pray all is well. We wish you all safety and that Gustav dissappates.
