In ten days it will be a year that I started my blog. Here is the first entry.
It made tears come to my eyes to read it. I am still in love and know even more that the guy I moved to Paris for is worth it. More than I could ever imagine.
I miss Florence terribly, my dog, all my freinds, the light, the smells, the food, the sea, the weather, the openess of expression that the Italians have. I miss my ex husband and am glad that we have maintained a friendship. I miss driving to Castellina in Chianti... siiiiiiiiiigh.
I finished my contract in 7 months for Gables Residential and have made leaps and bounds in my painting. What was a huge painting to me is now small. I want to paint even larger and will. I've moved away from painting kitch subject matter. I've travelled more in the last year than I have in the last ten years. I can understand French well and my speech is progressing. I'm going to be a mother and have a family... siiiigh

What beautiful entries both of them, you had me in tears as well! I think you show that change can be wonderful even if there is pain and loss involved. I am privileged to read your blog and learn from you. Hugs to you and your family!

Wow, Angie! first of all, congratulations on a year of blogging. And it certainly sounds as if you have had ample material to work with, I think I'm going to have to go back and read over your archieves.
This is a selfish thing to say, but until I began my own blog a few months ago, on a trip to Rome, I hadn't really paid a lot of attention to blogs in general. Now, I'm becoming really interested in them, especially those I know through Slow Travel, a great way to catch up with interesting people doing interesting things.
It's a shame you've been parted from your dog, but congratulations on your work going so well!

Thanks ya'll for what you say. It has been very intense, I thought I was going to crack several times and dream alot about my dog.
Sandra I wasn't a blog reader either really until this last month. It will be fun to continue reading the blogs.

This one got me choked up too, esp. about the dog.
So many wonderful things happening in your life but a whole lot of change in a very short period of time can be hard.
And thanks so much to you for sparking this month of blogging for us all - it's really been a wonderful experience!
