searching for no where

I lost a book and have looked everywhere for it. I had it in my hand the other day, actually I was reading it in the bath. It is hard to read books in the bath and not get them wet. I haven't yet looked in the refrigerator maybe that is where it is. ... Wait a minute while I go look.

It is driving me crazy, no it is not in the refridgerator but I did stop and eat a yoghurt while I was looking, am I getting sidetracked? I think the cleaning lady stole it, but she probably can't read english. I'm sure that she can read even if she pays no heed to the notes we leave her. Where the heck is the book? When I left the bath i probably went to bed but did I take the book? I looked behind the bed and have now washed all the bedclothes. There were no hard lumps among the sheets that went into the washing machine.

The other day we threw away a bunch of books, they had turned into dust collectors things that no one would ever want to read. It is hard to throw away books but not what we threw away the other day. Could it be that my book was mistaken for trash? Let me go check the bookshelf again... No it is not there, maybe I didn't see it. I'll go check again.

What color was the cover? I think it was blue and white. I know that it was a paperback. I can't do anything until I find this book. Last night I woke up and couldn't sleep at about 2am so i thought I might read it a little bit but couldn't find it so knew that I would this morning. But it is no where. Where is no where? Is that where all those socks go when you wash them? I keep saving all of those odd socks in the hopes that one day the other ones will appear. Perhaps I should trash them. I know where I will find the book. Amazon.

I did the rounds again, bookshelf, bathroom, couch, cupards, bed, handbag other bookshelf, reridgerator. It is nowhere.

Amazon here I come.

Angie, this cracks me up! I can relate - if you're like me, the book will show up right after the new copy arrives from Amazon!

angie:

I ordered another copy out of desparation.

Kim:

Ah Angie, well, all I can say is welcome to motherhood. That little bugger in your belly is siphoning off brain cells even as I type. Annie's right, that book will probably show up after your Amazon copy arrives (says the woman who found the milk carton in the dish cabinet a few weeks ago).

Jill:

But what was the book??

All you gotta do is lose something else and then start looking for that new thing. I have lost things so often and never find them til I am looking for something else.

You probably will find it once the new book arrives. I have had to pay for a new safety box key twice now, each time finding the lost key once the new key was made.

Kim:

Oh - you could pray to St. Anthony too! How does that go, Tony, Tony, turn around, something's lost that can't be found....something like that.
