It was a few nights ago that we went to the Brasserie Lutetia. Some VIP scientists that we went to meet was staying there.

Everything was positive at the dinner, the wait staff is super. They seem that they genuinely enjoy their jobs and made one feel comfortable despite the chic atmosphere. I loved the decor. Black leather or leather-like seats with chrome and mirrors everywhere made the lighting seem like you were experiencing some movie setting. Like those black an white post cards that you see every where by Henri Cartier Bresson

There are two menus to choose from aside from drinks, depending on what wine you get your bill will change. There are several seafood platters to choose from with beautiful oysters. We started with some champagne.

I had the day's appetizer that was asperagus served with a walnut sauce. The asperagus were tender all the way to the bottom and tasted as if they had been cooked in some kind of sauce not just plain water, they were perfectly cooked. For the main course I had côte d'agneau with some vegetables in a non creamy brown sauce, I am still licking my lips.

Two guys shared a seafood platter with seasnails, shrimp and oysters. One woman had an appetizer of only fresh oysters and someone else ate escargot that were not in shells.

Mini baguettes were served.

Two women had sole with a provencal sauce.

I can't wait to go back, it is definitely a place to experience when in Paris.
