ode to my dog Lira

LsuGironal.JPG
This is my dog. The photo is not recent but she looks the same. She is so jealous of the newspaper, she'll do anything to sit on it. The photo was taken at the seaside at Piombino.

She is the poster child of the dog breeder Tabarrino in Arezzo. She was born on Halloween the year before the Euro replaced the Lira, thus her name.

How much i miss her.

Sandra:

What a fabulous photo. Lira makes her intentions very clear! ("Pay attention to me, not this newspaper!")

I love Jack Russells (although I think they are too smart for me -- I'd have trouble asserting myself as alpha dog with one!)

She is sooo cute! I left my cat, Makapuu behind with my ex-boyfriend because I did not want to put her through six weeks of quarantine. I know just how you feel.

Eden:

Since you are writing about Lira, this means that the baby is not here yet, right? Unless you are just full of energy and doing all sorts of things as well...

Sending you all the best as you welcome the new addition to your family. Exciting!

Eden, I'm still waiting...

Girasoli, it is so hard to separate from our pets. Oh the guilt!!

Sandra, the JRT is a really smart dog. I've had several dogs of different breeds and they are different. They really push the limits all the time.

Lira is terribly spoiled.
