The aqua alta photos on the web have been amazing! Can you imagine arriving and having to carry your luggage in that flood? And on top of it, there was a vaparetto strike! Annie (churches in venice) is there right now. She arrived yesterday or this morning (confused with the time change) but definitely after the flood. She is blogging about it now.
