Seeing as how we are living in a period of world crisis when money is disappearing into no where and peoples savings are being robbed. I thought I might explain a few ways to save money, or how to spend less. This is normal activitiy for me. Not having a regular income as an artist you learn how to pinch the pockets in times of draught.
- stop drinking champagne
- better, invite friends for dinner that will bring champagne
- eat less chocolate
- stop eating chocolate
- smoke other peoples cigarettes
- quit smoking altogether (good for your health)
- leave the house with only your house key and 5 euro, no credit cards or checques - you cant buy anything for 5 euro.
- cook fom scratch every meal
- eat at Mc Donalds, where else can you eat for less than ten euro and once you've eaten at Mc D's you'll go back to cooking from scratch. Bleah!
- walk or ride your bicycle to work
- turn off the TV, radio, stereo and play music or sing
- don't do the shopping when you are hungry
- turn off the lights, cell phone and think
- log onto a free wifi, this often means consuming something at Starbucks or some other place
- dont even look at the window display
- etcetera

Great list. I'd add "quit eating meat everyday" and "grow your own herbs."

I agree, great list! I would definitely cook all my meals by scratch if I was forced to eat at McDonald's just once!

Angie, what a great list of ideas. I especially love that second one about inviting friends to bring champagne - sounds like an excellent plan!

Your list gets the mind thinking of ways...good post and funny in a sad way...this is too real.

Great list, but giving up chocolate is simply not an option. More seriously, we are finding ourselves thinking hard about purchases these days.

Great list! Love the one about the friends bringing champagne. And I totally agree that it is important not to shop while hungry - it is a recipe for buying more than you need!
As for McDonalds (and this is embarrassing!) I have to stay away for a different reason - I actually end up liking it and wanting to go back! So if I go once I am more likely to go back, so I just can't go.

Great list. I already do many of these, well except not eating chocolate.
