THE VILLA

An elegant stone farmhouse, in the heart of Valle Umbra, VILLA ROSY is set amidst a nine hectare olive grove in the gentle hills of Mount Subasio.

Only 3 Km from Assisi, the estate has a beautiful location with splendid views over the valley, where visitors can see Perugia and Montefalco off in the distance.

In this rich, sunny countryside, which is known for its great wines and excellent extra virgin olive oils, including S. Potente's, our guests get a taste of life's joys in its various aspects: laying in the shade of an ancient oak tree, alfresco dining under a romantic arbour, or strolling around the Villa with its enticing smell of rosemary and lavender.

The original structure has been divided into two different apartments furnished and equipped to a high standard with a mixture of modern and antique furniture.

Villa Rosy is the ideal place for a peaceful holiday, all the while centrally located allowing our guests to explore Umbria's interesting art towns at their leisure.

ACCOMMODATION

MIMOSA (8 beds – sq m 190 )

Ground floor: a roomy kitchen, an arched living and dining room with a large fireplace, one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower; an iron spiral staircase leads to the first floor: a double bedroom, a luxury fitted bathroom with bath and separate shower, one twin bedroom, a bathroom with shower; second floor: lounge room with sofas, fireplace, satellite Tv, one double bedroom, one bathroom with shower.

Services: oven, refrigerator, freezer, coffe-maker, dishwasher, satellite TV, hairdryer, fireplace, shared laundry facilities.

MAGNOLIA (4 beds - sq m 55)

A double bedroom, one bathroom with shower, a spacious kitchen with living/dining room with TV and full-sized double sofa bed.

Services: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, satellite TV, hairdryer, shared laundry facilities, wheelchair access.

AMENITIES

Garden, garden furniture, vegetable garden with fruit trees, herbs garden, gazebo, swimming pool (5x10mt) with sun chairs, barbecue.

ACTIVITIES

In the estate: mountain bike (April-October), swimming pool (3rd May - 27 Sept 2008), cooking classes, private dinners.

Nearby Activities: Wine tasting, horse riding, golf, tennis courts, paragliding (800 m).

Prices include:

Weekly change of bed linen, bath and kitchen linens with twice weekly change of towels, utilities, heating, swimming pool use, pool towels, mountain bike rental (April-October), laundry facilities , iron and iron board, final cleaning, welcome basket with a bottle of extra virgin olive oil from our harvest and other goodies for your first breakfast at the Villa, wood for fireplace and outside barbecue, fruit and produce from our onsite garden (in season) for use by our guests.

Security deposit is required upon arrival by cash.

 

Upon request:

• The opportunity to visit our hand-weaving atelier in Rasiglia: we will explain you the ancient art of handweaving by broadcasting a 30min movie (exclusive!) and we will show you ancient instruments and teach you how to use them. There will be also a weaving demonstration. 
• Pre arrival grocery shopping service: your favourite foods and beverages will be purchased on your account and placed in your kitchen just prior to your arrival with no additional fee. 
• Cooking Classes & Private Dinners at the Villa
• Guided tours to our olive grove and extra virgin olive oil tasting with a fragrant ‘bruschetta’ - Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil  won the Silver Medal at the 2005 and 2009 LA International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition
• Wine Tasting with an English speaking professional Sommelier.
• Visits to the wine cellars associated to the “Strada dei Vini del Cantico” and the “Strada del Sagrantino” wine roads.
• Ceramics Courses in Deruta: The courses are given by a master ceramist, supported by the owner of the workshop. The courses are carried out through practical experience into the initial stages.
