Beautiful flat in the heart of Trastevere, five hundred meters from the Piazza Santa Maria. The flat is bright and spacious (about 85 sq meters) in an elegant and secure building with doorman and a view over the beautiful private gardens of the building. It has been completely remodeled and offers traditional cotto tile floors, antique furniture, Persian carpets, modern kitchen, tiled bathroom with separate tub and shower. The owner has personally decorated it as a refined home for your holiday with paintings, books and vases. It is quiet and spotless, with a warm and homey atmosphere.

The flat has two bedrooms, (a single bedroom/study and a master bedroom.). The living area includes a living and dining room, small modern kitchen, and bathroom with shower and bath. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you may need, including all kitchen equipment, a clothes washer, iron and ironing board, television, VCR, DVD, internet access and stereo.

Trastevere is a charming and intimate neighborhood full of medieval character and local color. The name means "across the Tiber River" which describes its location to the Centro Storico via the historic Ponte Sisto bridge. The area is famous for its historic atmosphere of narrow lanes entering into small quiet piazzas, with hanging plants tumbling from terraces and wash hanging out to dry. There are abundant restaurants, shops, bars, outdoor cafes and excitement. The Piazza Santa Maria with its famous church is considered the center of the area and is only about 500 metres from the flat.

It is less than a 10 minute walk across the bridge to the Piazza di Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. It is also a short walk to Piazza Venezia, Piazza del Campidoglio (the Capitol Square), the Colosseo, the Foro Romano, the Via del Corso, Piazza Spagna and the famous Fontana di Trevi. The flat is easily accessible from the Fiumicino Airport via the airport train and local tram.

An authentic and friendly open air market is just around the corner from the flat. It is open from Monday to Saturday, from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm. Just beyond that there are a number of supermarkets and a variety of other shops: grocers, butchers, a very nice panetteria (bread maker that sells cakes too) and a small but excellent pasticceria. Not to mention bars, pizzerie and gelaterie. Within a two block radius of the flat you will find everything you need for gourmet meals and tasty snacks you can prepare in your own kitchen or eat on the way to your next adventure.
