Welcome to GOURMET TRAVELER, where we specialize in small (4-8), INSIDER culinary tours to many regions throughout Italy, with occasional forays into France. A trip with us is like traveling with a group of good friends.

I fell in love with Italy over 15 years ago and decided to share my passion for this wonderful country with others - thus was born GOURMET TRAVELER.

I am a trained chef by background so our contacts in various regions are with my fellow food professionals who are pleased to share their intimate knowledge about the region and its artisan producers; insider views that are simply not available to the average visitor. Local instructors/chefs/authors teach us the secrets of their regional cuisine. We learn the food of the region from residents of the area!

Because Italy is about much more than food, we strive to offer you a complete experience through our network of Italian friends, all of whom are eager to share their love of country and rich traditions.

To maximize the experience we have professional guides for museum & city tours. We also visit culturally significant sites: Pompeii, Vatican, Uffizi, Ostia Antica, Greek temples. In addition we include local events such as festivals, musical performances, or private parties. Whenever possible we hold cooking classes in homes where we catch a glimpse of Italian life.

We stay in immaculately restored villas/inns with completely modern facilities and en suite baths.

Our trips are a combination of food, fun, wine, people, entertainment, shopping, exploring, dining & laughter. Our trips make good times even better. Hope you can join us soon.
