The Holiday Village La Francesca, situated on a 15 hectars slope rich in trees and flowers typical of the mediterranean regions, faces the sea of the Cinque Terre with its three beautiful little gulfs. The 55 houses and apartments - all overlooking the sea - are surrounded by a marvellous park and are the ideal place for a holiday immersed in nature and far from constraint.

All the houses are in solid brickwork, simply furnished but completely equipped with kitchenette, bathroom with shower, hair-dryer, central heating, telephone, safe, TV/SAT connection and a private terrace. Pets are admitted only if they have been brought to our attention in advance. They have to be kept on a leash. Not to be taken onto the beach, to the swimming-pool, play ground and restaurant.

FACILITIES

Reception (8.30-12.30/15-19): faxes and correspondence may be sent or received here. Library, newspapers, tourist information. Damages have to be notified during the opening hours. Restaurant with a terrace overlooking the sea: local specialities, children menu, fixed price and à la carte menu. If you so prefer, you may take the food away.

Bar: Internet café, TV, video-projector.

Minimarket: food provisions, local specialties.

Facilities, but also some entertainment and sport activities, may not be fully operating in the green, pink, blue and yellow seasons or when weather conditions are particularly bad.

SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

Open-air swimming pool (25x10 m) from June to September, 2 tennis courts, volley-ball, tennis table, bowling facilities, minigolf , football play-ground, training and naturalistic route. Summer courses of aquagym, canoe and gymnastics. Diving courses also in winter season. The private beach, located in a small bay among rocks, can be reached on foot in a few minutes (300-800 m).

On the belvedere: shower, seawater children's pool, bathing huts, solarium with sun-beds.

For children: a large play area allows also the smallest ones to move around in complete safety. During Summer and school holidays various activities are organized by experienced nurses for children from 3 to 10. On request, naturalistic trips for groups.

ARRIVALS and DEPARTURES

Weekly stays from May to September; arrivals on Saturdays after 5 p.m.; departures on Saturdays by 10 a.m. From September to May it is possible to book also for week-ends: arrivals on Fridays by 7 p.m. (if you expect to arrive later, please inform us beforehand) and departures on Sundays by 10.

Booking

A deposit equivalent to 30% of the total amount is requested when booking. In the event of cancellation it will be refunded – deducted an amount of € 50,00 – only if cancellation is made almost 30 days before arrival. A credit card is requested as a guarantee. For those who have never been to La Francesca, a visit or a trial period to be spent at the village are recommended. No reductions are made for late arrivals or early departures. We cannot guarantee in advance that you will be assigned a specific house, but we shall do our best to satisfy your requests.

Cooking Courses

On request, cooking courses for food lovers and gourmets (mediterranean and regional cuisine): 3 hours' daily lessons for five days under the direction of our chef Valerio Ellero. The lessons consist of theory and hands-on experience, followed by - technical advice: how to utilize the basic cookery tools - tips, recipes and texts' interpretation and evaluation - techniques on food nutritive elements preservation - techniques for plates and table dressing.
