Even living in Rome, you might still temporarily need, another apartment for you or your acquaintances.

If instead you are just visiting, please note that the frenzy and the marvels of this town can wear down even the most enthusiastic of explorers, so here it is a NON SMOKING ONLY, quiet, nice and cosy 84 sq. meter (900 sq. feet)  self-catering apartment, to which you can retreat and recover your sense of self.

(GPS Coordinates: Latitude / Longitude: 41.9000000 / 12.4833333)

This dignified flat (3rd floor with 2 elevators) recently refurbished and fully equipped, located in a residential area, is suitable for up to 4 (comfortably) or 5 (maximum) people. It's surrounded by trees and has two balconies (25 and 18 sqm - 270 and 194 sq. feet) to which you can repair with your book or drink, facing the seductive countryside view and it's silence.

Just on Via Cassia - 250 meters (820 feet) away - there is the bus stop and in 1km distance (0.62 miles or 3 bus stops or 10min by foot) you have "La Giustiniana" (FM3) railway station, from which (avoiding any traffic jam) a train takes you, in 20min to "Roma San Pietro" station (VaticanCity) or to "Valle Aurelia" underground ("Metro") station.

By the "Metro" station you can then reach (in 10-15 min !) the following stations: "Spagna" (Spanish steps), "Barberini (Trevi's Fountain) and "Termini" Central.

...therefore you are "far" enough from crowds & noise of the city center but "close" enough for an easy reach of all the main attractions...

The nearest shops (supermarket, pharmacy, haidresser, boutique etc) are at 700 mt (0.43 miles or 7min by foot) while the G.R.A (Grande Raccordo Anulare) Ring Road is 3km far (1.86 miles or 5min by car).

Parking: easy & free along the road (usually within 100mt/328 feet).

The apartment is available year round for short-term rentals: 3 nights minimum (6 in HighSeason), 3 months maximum.

Nearby Attractions

Apart from the ..."obvious" Rome city center, the ancient roman Via Cassia (more than 2000 years old), will conveniently take you (through the Etruscan area of Veio), to the nearby (25km/15.5 miles) lakes of Bracciano & Martignano, to Sutri, Viterbo, Orvieto, and if you want, even up to ... Siena.

Should you like to spend a day at the seaside, Fregene's beach can be easily reached by car within half an hour.

A nice walking area in the countryside, is in Via G. Galli, at just 1200mt/0.75 miles distance.

Just a brief sample from the above:

30/12/2004 Mrs. Christine J. New Zealand
"Cassia house was a lovely apartment, clean and plenty of room to spread ones self. The views and sunsets were great from the balconies. We would recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay in Rome. Giorgio was a great host."

27/12/2004 Mr. Alan W.  United Kingdom
"Everything was above standard for self-catering apartments I have used before although there are possibilities for improvement. The area is quiet despite very close proximity to train service to Rome centre. There is a close supermarket and 3 good restaurants nearby. The owner is very helpful and provides most things in the apartment on arrival that could be required."

15/12/2004 Mr. GORDON W. United Kingdom
"The accommodation was excellent - it was one of our best family holidays ever! The situation is far enough out of Rome to be peaceful, but near enough for easy travel to the city. Giorgio (our host) gave us all the info we could have wanted -advising us of good tourist attractions, plus special offers for family travel tickets etc. He was also available all the time for questions throughout our visit and we would definitely come again. An ideal place for a family holiday in Rome!"

Testimonial
"I stayed at CassiaHouse from August 13 through September 30, 2005. I was relocating to Rome so I needed a comfortable and clean 2 bedroom apartment that had all the amenities of home and was an easy commute to the center of Rome. CassiaHouse was perfect and was exactly the way it was advertised. No surprises. And the owner, Giorgio was fantastic. He went out of his way to help my family and I get adjusted to life in Rome. So much so that I think of Giorgio more of a friend than the just the owner of the apartment. On our arrival Giorgio gave us a tour of the area to show us the public transportation system, grocery stores, shops, etc and even helped set us up with an internet connection that same day. I can honestly say that Giorgio is one of the most helpful and honest individuals I have had the good fortune of meeting in my many travels. This is important to know because its one has to be a bit skeptical when they are asked to send money to someone they do not know for a place they have never seen. As for the apartment, it is located in a scenic and very safe compound (lots of greenery, trees, flowers, scenic view of the Italian countryside from two gorgeous balconies) just minutes (by foot) from the suburban FM3 train station and bus stop. The location was important to me because I commuted to work each day to the center of Rome for seven weeks. The train ride only takes a short 30 minutes to the historic center of Rome and runs every 15 minutes during the week and every 1/2 hour on weekends and only cost €1 (Euro) each way. So its a great way to tour all day and then relax in the evening away from all the pollution and noise of the city. So don't worry about the location of the apartment, its perfect. In fact, because you have access to the FM3 train, you can get to the center of town much quicker and easier than most areas much closer into the city. For example, getting from the Circo Massimo or Colleseum to Vigna Clara via metro/tram/bus will take a good 45 -50 minutes on a good day. Further, you will find the FM3 Train (suburban train) much safer (no pick pocketing), less crowded (can almost always get a comfortable seat, air conditioned, etc. Anyway, if you are looking for a nice place to stay for touring or relocating to Rome until you get familar with the area, CassiaHouse is a perfect choice. You won't be disappointed."

Would you advise a friend to rent it ? Yes
