WHO WE ARE

I am Daniel Morneau.  I founded Vacanza Bella in 1985.  To my knowlege, Vacanza Bella is the longest-lived vacation rental agency based in the US and working solely with Italy.  I personally see each and every property I offer.  I know all of my owners personally.  I live much of the time in Rome, meaning that I can and do visit my properties frequently to be sure I still like them.

You'll see I have a reputation for utter candor which you'll also experience if you peruse the FAQ and Essays sections of the Vacanza Bella website, www.vbella.com, which I strongly recommend even if you don't rent through me.   A few SlowTrav reviewers have gone so far as to call me prickly and blunt.  Look: I've been in this business for 20 years.  My goal in life is to sleep soundly at night.  If I know the place you've got your heart set on isn't right for you, I'll tell you.  I want your experience in Italy to match your expectations.  I am ignorant about most things in life: but about renting in Italy I am an expert, perhaps even THE expert. 

VACANZA BELLA'S PROPERTIES 

Vacanza Bella doesn't pretend to have hundreds of properties to offer.  Vacanza Bella offers a small selection of special properties primarily in Tuscany, Umbria, the Italian Lake District, and the city of Rome.  In addition, we have delightful individual properties in Positano, on Capri, in the Veneto and the Marche, in the Cinque Terre, on the outskirts of Rome, and in Florence, Naples, Siena, and Verona.

Everything you want to know about Vacanza Bella and our properties is on our website, www.vbella.com.   There's no need to take up more of your time here.  Go directly there and see what you think.  Then contact us.  One last thing: if what you're looking for isn't on the website, contact us anyway: We have access to many places we don't offer on a regular basis.   For example, you won't see anything in Sicily on the site, but we do have access to some excellent places there. 

CONTACTING VACANZA BELLA

Really, the best way to contact us is by email after you've looked the properties -- and the prices -- over carefully. I'm practically neurotic about answering emails.  If you haven't sent yours at 4am, or if I'm not out eating Indian food or seeing a Taiwanese movie, you'll often hear from me within minutes.  If you don't hear from me within 24 hours, something's wrong.  Call my office in that case, and I'll get back to you pronto.
