Bolognalingua is not a typical language school. We are a small group of experienced teachers who organize individual Italian courses at their house in Bologna. We provide also an accommodation to our students as B&B, host families, hotels.

Bolognalingua was born five years ago out of an idea of one of us to satisfy the request of many people from every part of the world, who were interested in coming into contact with Italian culture as expressed in its language, style of life, cuisine and art. Since 1999 the number of people who really appreciate the open door to our house philosophy has increased considerably.

Why Bologna ?

Bologna is a city famous for its university, its rich cultural and social life, its cuisine, its well-preserved city centre, the hospitality of its people, and yet it is off the traditional tourist track; this is why it is the ideal place for learning about genuine Italian life in a truly authentic setting.

Why homestays ?

Because we are convinced that when you are learning a foreign language, nothing is more important that having constact contact with a specialised teacher in the country where this language is spoken. This is the ideal formula for those who wish to get the most from a short period of simple language learning without having to attend exhausting full immersion courses in schools where there are inevitably going to be other students who speak your language.

Language courses

All of our standard courses are held in the homes of the teachers in Bologna. They usually start on Monday and finish on Friday.

COURSE A - 440 euros (one student)

Three hours of lessons in the morning (15 hours total), three lunches, plus different activities for four afteroons. These activities include : guided TV viewing, video films, visits to the centre of Bologna, one trip by car/train to Ferrara, Ravenna, Dozza Imolese (Enoteca Regionale), Museo of Ferrari in Maranello or a Parmigiano factory.

COURSE B - 400 euros (one student)

As course A, but only two lunches and three afternoons activities.

COURSE C - 330 euros (one student)

Three hours of lessons per day plus one lunch at teacher's house, followed by a visit to the city centre of Bologna

COURSE D - 500 euros (one student)

Three hours of lessons in the morning, four lunches, plus two hours of lessons for four afternoons (23 hours total). The price also includes a visit to the city centre of Bologna

COURSE E - Long term course

Minimum 25 hours - at flexible schedule - 20 euros per hour (one student)

COURSE F - 540 euros (one student)

Three hours of lessons per day with accommodation for six nights in a B&B very close to the teacher's house, breakfast included

Accommodation

We have learnt from our own experience that in order to guarantee some private time, adult students like to be free in the evening from 5p.m. onwards for their evening meal and entertainment

Accommodation prices

We offer our students a free accommodation booking service at one of following :

-B&B - Bed and Breakfast (from 40 euros per day)

-a single bedroom in a host family's apartment (from 27 euros per day)

-hotel in the city centre (from 60 euros per day)

-small apartment (from 50 euros per day)
