Charms of Old Nice

The apartment is situated a few steps away from the famous Place Rossetti. As soon as you step out the door, you'll be immersed in the ambience and charm of the Old Town and all it has to offer at any time of year. You can wander around the winding streets lined with unique shops and galleries that draw locals and visitors alike. You can enjoy the daily flower market at Cours Saleya and take advantage of the innumerable cafes, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. If you want to venture from the Old Town then the beach is just a five minute stroll away. Due to the southerly aspect of the apartment, situated on the 3rd floor on Ruelle de la Boucherie, it is always flooded with afternoon sunshine even in winter. The spacious 70m2 space offers 2 double bedrooms, shower room and open plan living area. As the photos suggest, the apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay including fully equipped kitchen with all necessary gadgets, LCD TV with DVD home cinema and hi fi system. 

Location of the Apartment

Situated on the 3rd floor (no elevator) of an imposing period building, the apartment is at the heart of the 'Vieux Nice' - the Old Town. This is, without doubt, the most charming, colourful and historic part of Nice and best of all the area is completely pedestrianised. In fact, the nearest road is where the airport bus drops you off which is a 2 minute walk away. The beach, Promenade des Anglais, is only 5 minutes walk and the restaurants, bars and shops of the old town are literally on the doorstep. In the immediate vicinity there are restaurants and shops only - so there is no noise from bars and clubs. If you are sat with the windows open on an evening you will hear a gentle buzz of activity of people ambling around the famous Place Rosetti which is 50 metres away.

Local Services: There are excellent local shops and plenty of local bakeries within a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. There are a wide selection of restaurants locally to suit all tastes and budgets. There is an internet cafe just a couple of minutes walk.

Cookery Courses:  Our agent Rosa can arrange a range of cookery courses within the Old Town of Nice. These are gourmet cookery courses where you are taken to the local markets to buy ingredients before cooking with them in an old town established cookery school. Please contact us for more details.

Facilities of the Apartment

The tiled bathroom is equipped with a WC, vanity unit with large mirror, shower cubicle with power shower, and washing machine. The apartment is on the third floor and there is no lift (as is typical for old Nice). However the staircase is wide and not very steep. All windows (Except window in 2nd bedroom) are double glazed. Master bedroom has a King size bed (width-160cm) with large fitted wardrobes with mirrored sliding doors. The second bedroom has a Double Bed (width-140cm) with a large fitted wardrobe within the apartment hallway. Apartment is fitted with thermostatic electric radiators. There is no air conditioning (as is typical in old Nice) but fans are provided and walls are extemely thick which assists in keeping apartment cool. The 20' LCD TV provided does not receive TV broadcasts and can only be used for watching DVDs (Some popular titles are kept in the apartment for guest use). There is a facility to connect an MP3 player to the hifi system.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, oven and hob, toaster, kettle and juicer.  The cupboards are well stocked with crockery.
