Description:

Lovely vacation apartment that sleeps four people in comfort in gated community with large swimming pool (open mid June to mid-September). The recently repainted apartment has a living/dining room, a newly remodeled kitchen, two bedrooms and a newly renovated bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and french door onto the terrace, and the other has bunk beds and opens on to the garden. The apartment is nicely furnished and includes linen and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a washing machine and the kitchen a dishwasher.

Transport

While a car is advantageous it is not essential as there is excellent public transport within easy walking distance by boat and bus to points along the lake, Lugano and a daily bus to St. Moritz.

Access

By Car:

From the north drive into Lugano and follow signs for Gandria, St. Moritz and Menaggio. 

From the south take the Autostrada A9 direction Como.  Exit at Como Nord and follow the signs for Menaggio.

On arrival in Menaggio go to Immobiliare Menaggio (Tel: 0344-32054), on lake front in front of small port who will provide keys and directions.  The agency provides backup in the event of a problem and any necessary information.

By Public Transport;

You can fly to Lugano (served by Swiss International Airline), easiest; Milan-Malpensa or Milan-Bergamo (served by RyanAir).  Avoid Milan-Linate which is the other side of Milan.

From Lugano Airport take shuttle, ask driver to drop you off at Via Balestra for the bus to Menaggio.  There is a bus timetable posted there or check times at www.sptlinea.it/. Click on "orari" and check Line C12 Menaggio-Lugano. Buy tickets at kiosk across parking lot. 

From Malpensa take the Milan train as far as Saronno and change for a train to Como Lago.  From there there are bus or hydrofoil service to Menaggio.

From Bergamo take shuttle to Bergamo Station, train to Lecco, connect to train to Varenna.  For train times check www.primitaly.it/turismo/trasporti/treni.htm From Varenna take lake boat or ferry to Menaggio.
