THE RESIDENCE

Dominating the little village of Rasiglia, Residence Menotre is an ancient 15th century stone tower built for defence of the Trinci's Castle.

The Residence enjoys astonishing views and it is ideal to relax and rest oneself away from city chaos. Residence Menotre is the result of a careful restoration of an ancient stone tower belonging to the Trinci's Castle, which imposing walls are still visible. Situated on the hills of Foligno (650m asl), the Residence is the ideal place for those loving nature in all its aspects.

The Residence looks out onto the wooded hillsides and the River Menotre allowing you to relax and really take in the peace and quiet here. It is the perfect spot for long walks or taking a ride on one of the bikes provided by the Residence, and for the more adventurous of you there is hiking, rock climbing and rafting.

Within few minutes you can be on the road to some of the most beautiful medieval towns in Italy - something to suit almost every taste!

In Rasiglia you can find all the basic amenities: a bar, a general grocery shop with the most deliciuos prosciutto, the post office and a tobacconist. In Verchiano (3km East) you will find a riding-school and a very good restaurant while in Casenove (3 km North) there is a petrol station.

ACCOMMODATION

From the original building, three different apartments have been made: the studio CORINNA and the two one-bedroom apts ILARIA and MICOL.

CORINNA (2 beds - sq m 25)

Studio apartment with kitchenette, living/dining room with satellite TV and full-sized double sofa bed, one bathroom with shower. All windows have mosquito screens.

Services: gas/electric hob, refrigerator, toaster, American coffee machine, satellite TV, hairdryer.

ILARIA (4 beds - sq m 45)

One double bedroom, one bathroom with shower, a roomy kitchen with living/dining room with satellite TV and 2 full-sized single sofa beds. All windows have mosquito screens.

Services: gas/electric hob, oven, refrigerator, toaster, American coffee machine, satellite TV, hairdryer.

MICOL (4 beds - sq m 42)

One double bedroom, one bathroom with shower, a roomy kitchen with living/dining room with satellite TV and one full-sized double sofa bed. All windows have mosquito screens.

Services: gas/electric hob, oven, refrigerator, toaster, American coffee machine, satellite TV, hairdryer.

Each apartment has its own independent entrance with private outdoor area for al-fresco dining. Sunchairs, chairs and tables are at guests' disposal.

The apartments share a common area with built-in barbecue, wood-burning oven and communal laundry room.

WEEKLY PRICE (Sun/Sun)

Apt. CORINNA (2 beds): from € 260.00/week

Apt. ILARIA/MICOL (2+2 beds): from € 320.00/week

Prices include:

Weekly change of bed linens, towels and tea towels, utilities, heating (Oct-April), free use of the washing machine, welcome basket with a bottle of extra virgin olive oil from our harvest, a bottle of wine and other goodies for your breakfast in the apartment, wood for outside barbecue and final cleaning.

 

Security deposit (by cash only) is required upon arrival.

Upon request:

• The opportunity to visit our hand-weaving atelier in Rasiglia: we will explain you the ancient art of handweaving by broadcasting a 30min movie (exclusive!) and we will show you ancient instruments and teach you how to use them. There will be also a weaving demonstration. 
• Pre arrival grocery shopping service: your favourite foods and beverages will be purchased on your account and placed in your kitchen just prior to your arrival with no additional fee. 
•  Guided tours to our olive grove and extra virgin olive oil tasting with a fragrant ‘bruschetta’ - Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil  won the Silver Medal at the 2005 and 2009 LA International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition
• Wine Tasting with an English speaking professional Sommelier.
• Visits to the wine cellars associated to the “Strada dei Vini del Cantico” and the “Strada del Sagrantino” wine roads.
• Ceramics Courses in Deruta: The courses are given by a master ceramist, supported by the owner of the workshop. The courses are carried out through practical experience into the initial stages.
