My name is Heather Spinelli, my husband and I own a 2 bedroom apartment in the historic center of Florence (the Oltrarno neighborhood). We are not an agency, we are Americans who live in New York and also have an apartment in Florence. 

When we are not in Florence we offer nightly/weekly/monthly rentals of our apartment for travelers/families on a budget.

Our apartment is on Via Della Chiesa, one block away from Piazza Santo Spirito and in walking distance to all tourist attractions. There is room to sleep up to 5 people when using the living room pullout sofa bed.

•  It offers a living room with hard wood floors, a sofa that pulls out into a queen size bed, a dining table seating 4, a satellite TV with both English & Italian channels, DVD player, Stereo, small library of DVD's, music CD's, and travel books.
• The master bedroom has a large queen size bed with a goose feather down duvet and a large handmade armoire.
• The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed, with a goose feather down duvet.
• The bathroom has a large bathtub, shower, toilet, and bidet, a hair dryer is also provided.
• The kitchen has a 4 stove burner and oven, sink, refrigerator and service set for 6. Fresh towels, sheets, and blankets are provided.
• The living room and kitchen are located on the ground floor, the bedrooms and bathroom are located below in the finished basement.

LOCATION:

The apartment is located in the Oltrarno, which is Florence's "left bank" and home to generations of artists. It is a quiet Italian
residential neighborhood within the historical center of Florence.
We are one block south of Piazza Santo Spirito (in the piazza there are great
restaurants, live music every night and markets during the day).

It is also only a few blocks east if Santa Maria Del Carmine. 8 minutes walk
south of the Ponte Vecchio, 3 minutes from the Palazzo Pitti/Boboli
Gardens, 10 minutes walk to the Uffizi, 15 minute walk to Santa Maria
Novella Train Station.

Dear Heather & Joe,
 
Thank you so much for our stay at Casa Spinelli.  My husband and I were IN LOVE with the location.  Not only were we on top of the Pitti Palace and Santo Spirito, but we were never more than a 15 minute walk from any other amazing site....and walking was our FAVORITE thing to do in Florence.  The city is SO quaint and romantic.
 
Where the apartment was situated put us close enough to the lively Ponte Vecchio, but also far enough away when we preferred the privacy a secluded home would offer to a couple on their honeymoon.  We really felt like we were living in a neighborhood and being amongst locals, gave us that added touch of culture.
 
The apartment itself was adorable and the bilingual management staff was incredibly easy and friendly to work with.  Overall, we were very pleased.

Thank you so much!  We had a fabulous time and your place is perfect! I love the little neighborhood-we ate at the restaurant you told us about (a lot!) and had tons of coffee at both your neighborhood coffee bars.  The man diagonal across was a big help. =)  . We prefer living on your side (south) of the river than to the northern part of Florence!

After having returned from our trip to Italy just a couple of days ago, my husband and I would like to thank you for our stay at Casa Spinelli. We had a great time in Florence and it was really good to return to an apartment and not a standard hotel room - it helps to make you feel like a regular. We also indulged in a couple of trips to Gustapanino for an afternoon snack, as it´s just around the corner. Again, thank you and whenever we decide to return to Florence (which we certainly will do, as we´re both suffering from Stendhal´s syndrome) we´ll definitely book Casa Spinelli.

Dear Heather and Joe:   

Location, location, location describes your apartment. It is close to the major tourist attractions without being in the center of them.  It is a neighborhood with stores where citizens of Firenze live.  We loved the Sunday morning flea market at Sanctu Spiritu!  When we wanted to walk to the Ponte Vecchio or the Duomo it was easy and direct.

The apartment is very comfortable to stay in. The kitchen was easy to use.  The walls were so thick that it was very quiet below grade and we slept very well.  Obviously we found that the small library of books you had there were very useful! – I really don't go around appropriating people's dictionaries but that one was very convenient and obviously fit perfectly in my coat pocket and I forgot! I will be buying my own copy, before I come back!  And we liked it so much, we would like to come back!
