Villa Vittoria is a private house. It is a wonderful farm located around Impruneta town.

A spectacular Florence view from a large terrace, interiors are very comfortable, welcoming and in perfect style of the old Tuscan farm.

General Information on Impruneta town.

Impruneta is a Tuscan hill town located between the valleys of the Greve and Ema streams, about half an hour south of Florence.

It was known in ancient times as "in prunetis" or "in pineta" (within the pine woods) and indeed remnants of beautiful pine forests may still be seen interspersed among the olive groves on some of the surrounding hills.

The church of Impruneta became ever more well know for the sacred and miraculous effigy of the Madonna housed. There Pilgrims came in large numbers and a famous fair took place and still takes place on the feast of Saint Luke, 18 October. Originally a feast associated with the movement and sale of livestock, it is now celebrated with stall dinners, and horse races. A small village important for the production of pottery had developed near the church. The first record of terracotta manufacture dates from 1098 and it has continued to flourish to the present time.

There are three approaches to Impruneta from Florence by car.

The most direct begins in the vicinity of Piazzale Michelangelo on the southern limit of Florence. Take the road toward Pozzolatico and from there to Impruneta. Another scenic route is the Chiantigiana, route 222, from the vicinity of Badia a Ripoli in southeast of Florence.

Turn right either at grassina or a couple of kilometres before reaching Strada. The third rout leaves from Porta Romana through Galluzzo towards Tavarnuzze where one turns right for Impruneta.

Impruneta is also served by the CAP bus service from Florence.
