The extensive Tenuta of Monaciano is spread across 235 hectares, 300 metres above sea level and only seven kilometres from the historic centre of Siena. This is a favourable area for wine and olive oil production, as well as for the cultivation of corn and sunflowers. Chianti Classico wine and olive oil is produced at Monaciano. In the center of the Tenuta stands the VILLA which has 4 large rooms (ballrooms, billiard room, etc.) and a large professional kitchen (for B&B and half board service as well as for weddings and other celebrations) on the ground floor and 17 bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. The proprietor’s villa is surrounded by romantic and richly planted nineteenth century garden of about 3 hectares. Here visitors can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, walking through tree-lined paths among statues, flowerbeds, fountains and grottos. The aviary, the peacock house, and the ancient lemon house, frame a monumental greenhouse with a wide variety of exotic and ornamental plants. The ancient farmhouses of the Tenuta of Monaciano are situated on a hilltop with a commanding view of the splendid Sienese Chianti countryside. Five farmhouses have been converted into farm holiday accommodations to welcome guests that can enjoy in every season the magic of the Chianti area. Tenuta di Monaciano has 30 apartments, each one equipped with electricity, gas, heating, and linens. The double bedrooms measure about 14 sq. (20 sq. for the three beds bedrooms). Bath and bed linen is changed each week. Some apartments are equipped for disabled people. The swimming pools are free for guests of Monaciano. Each apartment has an outside area with umbrella, table, chairs and portable barbecue. Some of the extras that we have at the Tenuta di Monaciano: - At the reception center there is a large communal room with WiFI Internet access (for those with portable devices), an internet point and a bar (serving coffee and other beverages, sweets and more).
