Casa della Vista is set on a high terrace overlooking a vast panorama of Alps, hills, vineyards, and villages of Monferrato. It was built over 350 years ago, in the characteristic castle village of Villadeati. One of  highest towns in Monferrato, Villadeati is surrounded by "blue highways" which wind through fields of sunflowers, lavender and grapevines--perfect for wandering, biking and picnics. There is a special mild microclimate here; and healing spring waters which have been taken since Roman times.

  The house was built with double walls of local stone, which keep it cool and comfortable in the summer and insulated in cool weather. We have recently completed a total restoration, adding fresh, modern facilities while retaining the original rustic ambiance: interior stone walls, terracotta and painted tile floors, heavy handmade doors with forged iron hardware.

Entering the house from the small, private courtyard: a dining room with fireplace, a half bath, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower, a grand kitchen (the former wine cantina) which opens onto a mosaic patio with views over the countryside. . Upstairs: a large salon with English language TV and library, a double bedroom  with bath (footed cast iron tub). French doors open onto a long balcony assuring breezes and spectacular views

 Behind the house, a shady barbeque/dining area, an acre of gardens and woodland. (Accompanying photo shows a view from the garden.)

The amenities include: classic, comfortable furnishings, central heating, wood stoves and fireplace, kitchen appliances, crockery and utensils, washing machine, quality bedding and linens, hairdryers, local tourist information/maps/guides, TV/radio and wireless broadband internet connection.
