We are five sister hilltowns, just a few kilometers apart, each with individual character and charm.  We each have distinctive restaurants, hotels, villas, podere, apartments, music festivals, village feasts, olive oils, wines and art that we are justifiably proud to share with you, whether you are a couple getting away from it all, or a large family reunion, or a wedding!!  We've had a great year, with lots of visitors to the site and lots inquiries.  However, in early February we were attached and munched pretty badly by a malware virus.  By the end of March we'll be up to snuff and reconstructed, so come visit our website www.cinquesorelle.com and see all that the five little villages have to offer. 

In the meantime - Montisi, Castelmuzio, Petroio, Trequanda and San Giovanni d'Asso all await your exploration.  Use Google or your favorite search engine to find out about all we have to offer.  www.montisi.com, the Montisi village portal is a great resource.  We'll look forward to your inquiries when we are back in full operation.  We'll stay a bit of a secret until then..... 

The site first shows you where we are, 45 minutes southeast of Siena, 1 1/2 hours south of Florence and 2 1/2 hours north of Rome, 1/2 hour from the Autostrada. 

 

Then it tells of our artists, adventures, music, wines, restaurants and services. 

 

Then you can explore each village, Montisi, Castelmuzio, San Giovanni d'Asso, Petroio and Trequanda.  Find the ideal accomodations, see nearby restaurants.  All on their own websites. 

 

Find a chef.  See the websites for our world-famous artists.  Plan a hot air balloon ride or a quad-bike adventure.  A massage or a horseback ride.  Or an expert wine tasting in your villa or in one of our area restaurants.... 

 

Come in the fall for the truffle or new oil festivals.  Or the first weekend in August for Montisi's famous Giostra di Simone - two days of Italian festivities at their best - a village-wide feast that fills the streets, a parade through the town all culminating in the jousting tournament at sunset on Sunday.

 

If you are a July visitor, plan to come and experience classical music performed by some of Europe's leading artists, in medieval churches and castles dotted throughout our area.  Know that the world's only harpsichord performance school will be holding free concerts on some Friday evenings in a Baroque village church!

 

Or arrange painting and sketching lessons - wandering the Tuscan hills or nestled in an ancient garden.  Or a cooking lesson, hands-on that will reveal the secrets of perfect pasta!

 

Remember, all of the Cinque Sorelle fit within a 5 mile circle!!
