Join us for a hot air balloon ride over the Tuscan hills to experience the beauty of Italy from a unique perspective. Your host and pilot, Pascal Goldschmidt has been ballooning over the Florentine hills for many years. He and partner Kirsten Lockie invite you to share their view of Tuscany, bringing together the best of the Sky with the best of the Land they have lived in for over 30 years. Pascal and Kirsten welcome you to the Chianti they love so dearly. Join them in the sky and watch its changing directions and vistas. Enjoy the area's cultural and culinary richness with an early morning gentle balloon ride over the Tuscan hills, followed by a champagne breakfast.

 

Your flight will lift off from the fields of the family estate Fattoria Corzano e Paterno, in the heart of Tuscany, 9 miles south of Florence. Once airborne, you will fly over the legendary Chianti landscape with its hill-top towns, castles, famous vineyards, silver olive groves, and mixed woodlands. After landing, you will be served a traditional ballooning Champagne breakfast -- a survivors toast, followed with local produce, a sampling of renowned sheep milk cheeses from the farm Fattoria Corzano e Paterno, and a light olive oil tasting with Tuscan bread.

 

We fly in the early morning just after dawn. The setup and inflation takes about 35 minutes, and the flight approximately 1 hour depending on wind and weather conditions and may be varied at the pilots discretion; the whole adventure lasts between three to four hours. Although we fly all year round, the ballooning season is approximately from April to November, with annual variations. All flights are wind and weather permitting, subject to availability, 48-hour advance reservations required.

• Our balloon can accommodate 4 or 5, 8 passengers, but we can fly groups and organize excursions for groups of up to 45 passengers.

• Guests staying at the guest houses of Fattoria Corzano Paterno are entitled to a special rate.

• Don't hesitate to call us last minute for unexpected space available in the basket at a special rate.
