La Casina (The Little House)La Casina is nestled against the ancient castle walls of a Tuscan hill top village. The house sleeps 2-4 comfortably with 1 1/2 bathrooms, and all necessary comforts. The surrounding area is inexhaustible to explore. Over the years we have discovered so many wonderful people, places, restaurants and walking trails. Our guests have had many stories to share; the interaction with the locals being a highlight for most. Staying at La Casina offers a rare and intimate experience with the Italian people, culture and customs. Tuscany is crowded, but there are still some quiet corners, and La Casina is an idyllic resting place, where one can enjoy the truly simple pleasures of life, from shopping the local markets (Sunday morning in the village) to savouring the finest food and art. For recreation; there are many marked walking paths in the area, with picnic spots to encourage you. Stroll through the meadows and beautiful ancient forests, where one can gather chestnuts, mushrooms, and truffles (in season). The region is a paradise for nature lovers. Visit the local churches and museums, and in particular The Museo Madonna del Parto, to admire the famous masterwork of Piero della Francesca " The Madonna del Parto".
