Fall Tours-Photography Tours-Trip Travel Planning New England Midwest California

Location: USA-New England, California, Midwest, Michigan,

Unique small group customized tours focusing on seeing destinations at their prime times such as Fall Colors in New England, springtime in the Mountains, migrating birds at the Salton Sea, quiet off season coastal destinations, holiday lights in California, sunrise, sunset and chasing the seasons!

Fine Art Professional Photographer Tour Guide and Destination expert, April Bielefeldt was born in Iowa home to the Bridges of Madison County, and has designed and led tours to destinations throughout the United States. She returns to her favorite locations year after year to capture disappearing landscapes and the changing seasons.

She will lead you to the classic locations such as the often photographed red barns of Vermont, Route 66, and other off the beaten path scenics such as the Salton Sea.

Join like minded travelers in tiny groups - 8 max, but most often 4-6. Each tour is designed to your interests. All tours include lodging, ground transportation between designated scenics, special opportunities such as maple syrup tastings, all entrance fees to locations such as state parks, historic sites and more.

Her yearly signature tours include

Classic New England

Covering parts of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts depending on dates and locations desired.

Each tour or trip is 7 days or take two consecutive tours or contact April for custom tours or trips.

Stay in local bed/breakfasts, historic inns and destination lodgings with an unforgettable view.

Eat locally produced cheeses, maple syrups and other seasonal delights. All breakfasts included.

Meet the locals-farmers, craftsmen and artisans who will share their backgrounds, interests and crafts.

Walk in the footsteps of Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, share the views that inspired Winslow Homer, Norman Rockwell, the Wyeths and many others.

Take home your own images worthy of hanging in your home - views of rolling hills dotted with red barns, lighthouses, waterfalls and so many more vistas. Any skill level welcome - capture your best images with any camera including your cell phone!

Visit historic locations such as the birthplace of Calvin Coolidge, American President, Emily Dickinson's home where she wrote her poetry, Norman Rockwell's studio where he painted and so many other places.

See natural wonders such as waterfalls, hardwood forests and hillsides painted in fall colors.

OR if you are inclined to do it yourself - contact April to custom design a tour or trip to cover your interests, locations and number of days.

Lake Superior-

Largest inland lake in the world. Like an ocean Lake Superior part of the Great Lakes creates its own weather systems and for many remains a final resting place for sailors and explorers.

Lake Superior tour includes lighthouses, waterfalls, painted coastlines and many miles of forests and quiet trails. Join me on a road trip exploring this quiet area of Upper Michigan. Sample some incredible fresh fish and marvel at the size of Lake Superior.

7 days lodging, all ground transportation and again your personal photography guide to help you improve your photos or just get some beautiful portraits of yourself.

Land of extremes from the images of surfing blondes to the rush of the Gold Diggers and the lost dreams of the Salton Sea.

Many tours from 3 days, weekends, womens photo tours and Ghost town travels.

All tours/trips include lodging, transportation, guide and entrance fees to selected locations.

Home to the "Bridges of Madison County", the "Field of Dreams", home to the "Duke" and inspiration to "American Gothic" and future birthplace of one Captain Kirk.

Join me as we see all of this in early summer when the hills are green and the landscapes are open and the gravel roads have yet to dust up!

Sample a sliver of Alaska from her sparkling waters and glaciers to her highest peaks and colored skies. This is a Womens tour to sample Alaska, the largest state in the United States and if it were a country would be the 20th largest in the world. Though Alaska is the largest state size wise it is the least densely populated with 2 people living per square mile. So for scenics that are larger than large join me!

On my 7 day tour of Alaska you will spend time with 3 professional photographers to view and capture (nature permitting), the stunning celestial skies of the Aurora or the Northern Lights as many call them. Colors of greens, purples and pinks dancing above us- what an incredible sight.

We also journey out on to the water to see one of the disappearing glaciers and silently watch otters, whales and bald eagles.

Our road trip is just a sample of a state so large it would cover 3 Californias or 470 Rhode Islands. Wow!

Indulge all of your senses on a Fall Foliage Tour, Spring Wildflower tour, Summer Iowa trip or any of our other America the Beautiful destinations with April Bielefeldt of Your Photo Travel Guide -

I started painting but as time has passed I picked up a camera and now enjoy the journey just as much as the destinations. Each year I marvel at how nature can paint the trees, dance in the sky and shape such simple things as clouds. To smell rain, see a rainbow and share nature is a gift and I hope you will consider joining me or let me help you plan your own explorations of America the Beautiful!

Join me on any upcoming tour or let me plan your next road trip, or weeklong vacation to the United States- America the Beautiful!
