Cabrerets: Auberge de la Sagne

Excellent small hotel near St. Cirq Lapopie and Pech Merle cave. {2 stars}

Auberge de la Sagne is a fine small hotel of eight rooms with shower/bath. The manager is a very friendly young man Frederic whose family owns the hotel. Our room was up under the eaves of the roof and was small but spotlessly clean.

The restaurant is very good and, like the rooms, extremely reasonably priced.

The village of Cabrerets is within walking distance, the outstanding cave of Pech Merle is about a mile away, and St. Cirq LaPopie is just across the river. The hotel has a very good website.

All in all we had an excellent stay and I do not hesitate to recommend it.
