1 hour from either Paris airport! Spotless and beautifully furnished.

If you are looking for a lovely place to stay as a jumping off point to or from Paris (less than one hour from either airport just off the A4), try the Les Bergenias B&B in the village of Crecy la Chapelle. (It is also 15 minutes from Disneyland Paris.) We stayed two nights in the one-bedroom gite, which was beautifully constructed and furnished. There are also several B&B bedrooms, which we did not see.

The gite has about 400 square feet, spotless and furnished beautifully. The bedroom had a king-sized bed, and there was a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchenette was not large enough for cooking, but there was an undercounter refrigerator for your snacks and breakfast foods. There is a small dining table next to the kitchen nook, but there is a private outdoor patio with table and chairs for the gite.

The owner, Sacha Le Berre is charming and helpful. She speaks excellent english (and many other languages) and will take prepare dinner for you with advance notice. When we stayed with her, she served us fresh oysters (she had just returned from Brittany) with pink champagne, a glorious quiche with salad, and a syllabub for dessert.

The property is set on a large lot, with privacy fencing. She also keeps chickens, and serves fresh eggs to her B&B guests.
