Magny-Les-Villers: Gite

(about 4 miles north of Beaune), Phone: 03.80.62.9116

Reviewed by: Tom and Janet from Portland, review #212

When: Sept. 2000

We have stayed here on 2 of our 4 visits to the area and can hardly wait to return.

A gite owned by Micheline and Robert Dumay situated on the edge of the Aloxe Corton vineyards. The owners are retired school teachers and charming hosts.

They rent 3 rooms in their restored home (circa 1870) that are very clean, quiet, have private plumbing, off street parking, and fresh cut flowers in the rooms. The cost in September 2000 was about the equivalent of US$35 per night for 2 persons including a great PD. The location is central for day trips throughout Burgundy.
