Villa Gallici is a luxury treasure for a big travel treat!

We absolutely adored our stay at La Villa Gallici. Thom thought it was a little much when we planned our itinerary but couldn't stop thanking me when we arrived and enjoyed the comfort and hospitality during our visit to Aix.

This is a four-star hotel on the smart-country-house theme with rich, lush french colonial toile furnishings all done in a sophisticated, restrained manner.

It was a five minute walk into Aix from the Villa ... and after touring and shopping it was an absolute delight to return to. We enjoyed dinner here one evening, served in a cozy, thick aubusson rug and white-linen table-cloth covered "living room." The individual small tables for two were tucked into the room amidst large potted plants and sculpture. Here's the mark of perfection, it was served with gentility without a hint of ostentation.

Dining on the terrace was another complete joy. We spent Sunday reading, completely enjoying sitting around the magnificent pool.

We remember well the spirit and restful hospitality we enjoyed here for three nights of our itinerary! You will too!
