The most delightful hotel ever, with a great restaurant. {3 stars}

Hotel La Roseraie was truly delightful.

We were very cordially welcomed and the receptionist brought us to our suite. It consisted of two rooms communicating through a big full bathroom. The room was decorated with great taste and we had two french windows facing the street with nice small red flowers outside for 85E.

The hotel had also rooms facing the inside beautiful courtyard, full with flowers and especially spectacular roses. The top rooms had terraces. It had a common bigger terrace outside with chairs and tables.

The restaurant was beautiful and is renown in the region for food quality. At first I wasn't sure if we would go for a meal there, but when we saw the restaurant and the menu it was truly the best place to have a special meal.

One couple was at the reception and they booked the last room available, so the hotel had no vacancies. For the dinner there are two services and they didn't have places left when I asked to make a reservation for us. The receptionist talked to the chef and the personnel and they said they will accommodate us for dinner if we came before 9PM.

The hotel has two big parking lots and one small covered parking lot where we parked our car. The parking was free and closed for the night, so the cars were protected. There is also a small free parking lot in front of the hotel which can be used.

The swimming pool was nice and clean and surrounded by a beautiful garden full of flowers.

The rooms are in a very traditional local style.

It was hot when we arrived at the hotel after visiting the chateau (500 meters only from the hotel, so we could just walk there), so we went for a swim at the swimming pool. We then changed and arrived in time for dinner. The restaurant was amazing. We decided to go with 27E menu and they made pasta with vegetables at our son's request. We both chose the onion soup (exquisite), followed by lamb rissole (pieces of lamb were placed more like a piece of art rather than a plate) served with confit onions, green vegetables, mushroom tulip and spinach flan, this was spectacular and the taste couldn't be described so good it was.

My husband went with a creme brulee and our son had my dessert and he chose ice cream. All accompanied by a very excellent local wine. Such a spectacular meal for under 90E. It was the best dinner of all our vacations. At 9 PM service the clientele was mostly French families and couples. One family was celebrating a birthday. The rain started during our dinner, but didn't last. It refreshed the atmosphere.

They also offer very tempting breakfasts where the clients can cook their own eggs the way they like. We decided to have a light breakfast the next morning when we woke up at 9AM, as we needed our attention while driving 4 hours to our destination. So we went to the bakery next door for a coffee and a pastry which were all very fresh and delicious. The receptionist had a chat with me on our next destination and things to visit. Everybody at that hotel were simply adorable.
