For those arriving in France early in the morning after a long flight and driving south, this is a perfect stopover and is a superior alternative to Orlean.

This "Chambres des Hotes" or Bed and Breakfast, is owned by a young couple who have other jobs. It is clean, comfortable and charming. The wife is a professional flower arranger which gives a clue as to just how charming it is. The owners go out of their way to be accommodating. There is Wi-Fi, no elevator, just a few rooms - one of which is a triple.

This is a tiny, pretty, quiet village. It does have a couple of (reasonable) restaurants, and you should be there in time for the midday meal if your plane arrives at CDG airport around 8:00 - 9:00 AM which most do.

Breakfast is typical French. We had to wait until 7 to eat because the town boulangerie-patisserie doesn't open until then.

If we come back to the Dordogne, we will stay here again our first day. I highly recommend it.
