Nice, clean, good value hotel just north of Bastille. Convenient to Bastille Metro.
We had a double room on the 3rd or 4th floor. Our windows opened on the side of the building so we had no street noise at all. Our friends had a room with windows on the street but the windows were new double glazed windows that had excellent seals and, while their room was not as noise-free as ours, their sleep was not disturbed. We commented on how good the windows sealed when we were in their room enjoying a bottle of wine late one afternoon.
The rooms we had were good. They were clean and in good shape. They were not big in comparison to US hotel rooms but I would not call them cramped. I have stayed in hotels of similar age in San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle where the rooms were smaller.
The website says the hotel was built in 1920 and had been renovated in the last several years. I would not have guessed the building was that old.
Our bathroom was large, had modern fixtures and was well lit. I think our friends bathroom was smaller.
The staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly. They were the ones that told us about the construction issue on the RER and we arranged our van pickup through them.
They have a breakfast room and offer breakfast for €8 /person. We did not try the breakfast.
They had Wifi which worked fine. There is an elevator.
