It overlooks the Rance River (which is wide and looks more like an ocean inlet at that point), and there are views from the second floor rooms. The rooms are quite spacious and have a sitting area. It's in the country so the only noises are from birds. Our room (20) had widows on 3 sides, and probably the best views in the house. The common areas are very nice and there is free internet on the house computer. There's a walking trail that leads down to the river (about 20 minutes). It was a good base for exploring the north coast of Brittany. I appreciated how easy it was to get in and out of (easier than a hotel in Dinan would have been). A caveat: the room interiors badly need updating. The carpet is old and the rooms have a musty smell from it (it dissipates with fresh air) and our mattress was saggy. It's very surprising that the outside of the hotel, and the common areas, are maintained so meticulously, but the interiors have not been renovated. Hopefully this will happen in the near future.
