Good price (limited comfort) and great location. Disappointed in not getting wi-fi in the room. {2 stars}

I stayed here because my parents did and recommended it.

I had a single room with shower at €68 per night for five nights on a 3-night package, with the last night at €59 (breakfast not included).

The location was close to the Champ de Mars/Tour Eiffel, Invalides, and Musée Rodin, and good for walking many parts of Paris. It had the appeal of an area where people live, with a supermarket, ATM, and Ecole Militaire métro stop right at the front door. There was a good selection of restaurants nearby, and the active pedestrian street rue Cler.

It is a 2-star hotel with not the best comfort. The reception area is on the European first floor (one flight up); the elevator is so small it's a struggle for one person with luggage to fit in, and it's an odd half-stairway down and up to get between the reception and the elevator.

On these hot days I felt the lack of air conditioning, but I wasn't expecting A/C. There was a refrigerator in the room. I was counting on having wi-fi in the room, but it never worked. (It worked, and there was always space for me, in the reception area.) During the stay they said they were looking into getting it working in the rooms.

With these drawbacks I would almost give it a neutral rating, but I'm willing to stay there again.
