It is the most gorgeous hotel - decorated in painstaking fashion, and redecorated frequently - the fabric is all Bracquenie & Pierre Frey. The rooms are undoubtedly bijou and compact but how much time does one spend in a hotel room in Paris? Each room is designed individually. The bathrooms are marble and have all the necessary amenities including a hairdryear, however if you are a giant who likes a bath, be careful! In short the staff were brilliant and helpful; the atmosphere perfect, the breakfast for which one does have to pay 12 euros is excellent quality - continental, but with the addition of fresh fruit salad and artisan breads. It is excellent value (150 euros in 2005) in a tremendous location: parallel to Boulevard St Germain, 2 minutes to the Seine, 5 minutes to the Louvre, 10 to Musee D'Orsay, 15 mins to Place de la Concorde. I am hooked, and seek as I may to find negatives, I can't find them. But don't tell too many people because I am going to be back and I want to stay here.
