Postcard - Why I Want to be a Dog in Arles

Yayoye

Why I want to be a dog in Arles, France in my next life by Yayoye.

  • You can do your business wherever and whenever you want to.
  • The human hairdressing shops close for a long lunch in the middle of the day, but dogs can ALWAYS get their hair done even during lunch time.
  • No leash laws. You can wander at will around town whenever you want to without your human.
  • You can go to all the best restaurants even if they are listed in Michelin.
  • Your master can take you to work even if your master is a security guard in an art museum.
  • You can ignore the "no dogs" signs because they can't possibly mean it in France.
  • You get picked up and carried whenever the roadway looks a little rough.
  • You can get really cute clothes for yourself.
  • You are allowed to stay in hotels all over the place.
  • Everyone thinks you are cute and says so to your face all the time.
  • You get treated just like a human and possibly better than a member of the family.
  • You are a far superior being than a poor dumb cat - they are on leashes!

Oh to be a dog in Arles!
