We were the only two dinner guests not staying at the inn and had booked several days in advance to ensure we could get in. Our welcome was gracious, with an offering of apertifs and appetizers that were provided in a separate area. The inn itself is gorgeous and we thought we had a winner. Unfortunately, the food simply did not live up to our expectations. Most of the set meal (there were two choices of each course) was unmemorable. The wine, which was from their vineyard, was average. At a cost of 78 euros per person( wine included) I expected far better. If you are in the area, go to Coustellet and dine at Mason Gouin instead --you won't be disappointed.
