Directions: On the right, partway up the hill into Ansouis 
It is possible to dine at La Closerie, the creation by Delphine and Olivier Alemany, for a reasonable amount. The prix fixe menu is 34€, and of course the size and price of a bottle of wine has several options. However, on our final evening of our two weeks in the Luberon, based in Chez Westfield, a minute walk up the street from La Closerie, BW & I were beneficiaries of un bon cadeau, a gift certificate for 100€, a very generous and unexpected gift from our four traveling companions. Our companions had also pre-selected the seating arrangements at La Closerie and Delphine directed us to a small table on the patio opposite the restaurant, with very pleasant views over the valley below the small village of Ansouis. Of course, we had to begin our special evening with an apéritif - kir for me and kir royal for BW. As we were looking over the menu, Delphine mentioned that a special lobster entrée was available. The prix fixe menu on the right was abandoned as we ordered from the left-hand page and the à la carte selections of the menu. We followed the entrée, presented on a bed of spinach, peas, green beans and asparagus, with our plats - loup (sea bass) for BW and pigeon rôti for me. We chose a bottle of Reserve 2004 Chateau des Tours from the wine list. We ended our meal with dessert and café. Everything was excellent. L'addition was 148€10 - a major extravagance for us, made possible by the generosity of four friends.
