La Manade is a relatively new restaurant in Apt, opening in the summer of 2004. We ate there in early March 2005 with our friends Kevin and Elisabeth. It's a pleasant little place near the center of Apt, down a side street near the cathedral. There are a couple of tables out front (though not in use in early March!) and a pleasant dining room. Our service was very attentive. Most of us ordered one of the set menus of three courses: entree, plat principal and dessert. The restaurant specializes in beef from the Camargue, which was excellent. I had fish, another speciality, which was also very good. We shared a bottle of local wine. This is a pleasant and unpretentious place where you can enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price. We will definitely eat there again.
