Directions: Directions are a bit of a problem. I had the address but couldn't find the restaurant. While walking along the main pedestrian street in Apt, I asked for directions. "Turn right at the third pharmacy sign." It worked. It's a large green & white sign. Located in the centre of Apt, Le Platane proved to be a charming restaurant with a nice terrace and reasonable prices. It was only partly full on a Monday late in September 2007 on our last evening in Provence. Our selections included saladette canard, and a salmon appetizer; pork brochette and a fish dish (dos corina?) for our plats; choolat fondant and a selection of cheeses as our desserts. Our wine was a bottle from the nearby Chateau d'Isolette. Along with two cafes, the total was 80 euro. Recommended, if you are going to be near Apt.
