Directions: In the old town of Vence We spent a couple of days outside of Vence in early March 2005. We were lucky to find this restaurant on our second evening. (If we had eaten here the first night, I feel sure we would have been back on the second night.) The Taverne St. Veran is located inside the old city walls of Vence. It's a small place that appeared to be popular with locals. We ate here on a Saturday night and were actually lucky to get a table. They have a wood-fired pizza oven and a varied menu. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere and recommend this place to others. Dinner for the three of us was €59, including wine.
