Authentic Tex-Mex in Nice, France!

When we were in France, we got a craving for some food from home. My friend with whom I was traveling and I are both from Texas. We went to Texas City thinking it would not be anything resembling the Mexican food we are used to in Texas. Surprise, we were wrong!

The owner, Frank Charat, grew up in Dallas. This restaurant was great for a taste of Tex-Mex. I had nachos, cheese enchiladas, and a brownie for dessert. They serve margaritas, too! The food was simple and a little more costly than the average US version, but I expected that. The atmosphere was lively as well. It was a kick to hear country music in France!

We were staying with a French friend of mine who lives in Nice but had worked in Texas for a year or so. We took my friend with whom I was staying and two of his other friends to dinner for the hospitality. Everyone enjoyed their food and the atmosphere.

The restaurant has a website: www.texas-city-restaurant.com So if you are craving non-French food in Nice, I would recommend Texas City!
